NHRA will designate accepted suppliers of nitromethane that may be brought on site and/or used on site at NHRA National Events and NHRA Divisional Events. To be eligible for competition, fuel teams must use nitromethane from one of the accepted suppliers. All nitromethane will continue to be required to contain a marker that changes color when the nitromethane has been sensitized or contaminated; no clear nitromethane will be allowed. Fuel whether in the vehicle or otherwise, as well as transporters and pit areas, will be checked for compliance with this rule as deemed appropriate by NHRA. Any participant who violates any rule regarding nitromethane shall be banned from competition at the applicable event, or shall be subject to such other penalty deemed appropriate by NHRA."

To be eligible for competition, any team using nitromethane must use nitromethane from an accepted on-site supplier. At this time the only accepted on-site supplier is VP Racing Fuels. Fuel anywhere on-site at a NHRA National Event or NHRA Divisional Event, including without limitation, in the vehicle, transporter, pit area or at the NHRA-accepted supplier's onsite location, may be checked at any time and for any reason, including compliance with this rule and with the Nitromethane specification. Any participant who violates any rule regarding nitromethane may be banned from competition at the applicable event, and shall be subject to such other penalty deemed appropriate by NHRA.
