"Paul brings a wealth of knowledge in every discipline necessary to successfully manage and grow a division," said Josh Peterson, NHRA vice president of racing administration. "He worked at one of the most active dragstrips in the country for more than 20 years and during that time was involved in nearly every aspect of the business." "Being an NHRA division director is a lifelong dream," said Bailey, who will be relocating to the Houston area this fall. "I am a hard worker who is willing to learn and can't wait to get settled into my new role, meet the current member tracks, and begin developing programs and adding facilities to position Division 4 as one of the best in the country." Bailey begins his new role as Division 4 director Oct. 1, working out of the Division 4 office in Conroe, Texas. NHRA's South Central Division is responsible for conducting and overseeing drag racing activities in Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Currently, there are 11 NHRA member tracks in the region: two in Louisiana, one in New Mexico, two in Oklahoma, and six in Texas. |
